The Cambridge English: Financial (ICFE)
Level B2-C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
The Cambridge English: Financial (ICFE) is a high-level qualification between B2-C1 level and was developed for accountancy and finance professionals. It can help you find a job in an international finance context and improves your ability to conduct business internationally.
The Cambridge English: Financial (ICFE) certificate shows that you can:
- participate in financial meetings and discussions
- express opinions clearly
- understand and produce financial texts

The Exam Format
Cambridge exams are designed to ensure standardised test conditions for people of all linguistic backgrounds and nationalities and are supported by a dedicated global research programme.
The exam covers all four language skills (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking), using real-life finance and accounting situations.
Cambridge English: Financial (ICFE)-exams are paper-based.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Target: Shows you can complete tasts based on finance and accounting-related texts, read and understand finance and accounting-related texts, demonstrate a variety of reading skills, including skimming, scanning and deduction of meaning from context.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Ziel: Shows you can complete writing tasks covering a range of finance and accounting-related topics.
Duration: 40 minutes
Target: Shows you can understand a variety of listening texts, showing understanding of gist, detail and the attitude of the speaker as well as identify and interpret the context.
Texts take the form of recordings of discussions, meetings, interviews, announcements, broadcasts, etc. in the context of finance and accounting.

Duration: 16 minutes
Target: Shows you can perform a variety of spoken tasks on finance and accounting-related topics, using a range of speaking skills:

- social
